"Santorini Jazz" is based on my dream of traveling to Greece and the movement used to create this artwork. I have traveled all over Europe but have yet to visit Greece. The crystal clear waters and white sand beaches are something I have envisioned in my future for some time now. I believe I will one day make it to Greece to experience the culture and breathe in that beautiful Mediterranean air. My action painting style is reminiscent of me dancing around the canvas, splashing and dripping paint along the way. Jazz music plays a significant inspiration in my painting technique. The sporadic movements and gestures allow me to structure the painting in what appears to be a carefree, unstructured approach. This painting is a sign that I need to find a jazz hall in Santorini.
